Yes, most shock, strut, control arm, tie rod and ball joint jobs are done on jack stands where the car sits. We need a reasonably level, solid surface with room to get alongside the vehicle. Tell us when you call where the car is parked and we will plan around it.
Alignment needs a machine and a rack, so it is not something we carry out in a driveway. When a repair changes the alignment, such as tie rods or control arms, we will tell you so you can book it. Ask us when you call and we will say plainly whether your job needs one.
Yes. Old parts come off and get shown to you, along with what we saw during the check and the test drive.
It depends on what is worn. A tired shock is a comfort and braking issue, but a loose ball joint or tie rod end can fail suddenly. Tell us what the car is doing on the phone and we will say whether to drive it or leave it parked.
Price depends on the vehicle and which parts are worn, so we quote you a price and a time window before anything is booked. You pay what was quoted.
